Christopher Ramirez-Gomez, a senior at New Brunswick High School, Wins prestigious NYU Scholarship
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Christopher Ramirez-Gomez, a senior at New Brunswick High School, has achieved a remarkable milestone after being accepted to New York University (NYU) and awarded an $87,000 annual academic scholarship. The prestigious grant will allow Ramirez-Gomez to pursue studies in architecture and international relations at the Manhattan-based university, which enrolls more than 62,000 students—including roughly 30,000 undergraduates.
“This scholarship is clearly a tremendous opportunity for Christopher, and it also serves as a testament to what hard work can accomplish,” said Matt Rusnak, principal of New Brunswick High School. “Christopher has consistently prioritized excellence throughout his time at our school. I have no doubt he will carry that same dedication forward at NYU.”

The recognition of Ramirez-Gomez’s achievements reflects his unwavering commitment and academic ability. His acceptance to NYU, paired with the substantial scholarship, underscores the remarkable level of dedication he has demonstrated throughout his high school career.
Ramirez-Gomez is not alone in this distinction. Other members of his graduating class have also secured full scholarships to prestigious universities. Earlier this school year, two additional New Brunswick High School seniors earned full rides through the QuestBridge Program. Elizabeth Escobar Gomez received a scholarship to study at Duke University, while Daisy Sanchez Garcia was awarded a full scholarship to attend Dartmouth College.

These accomplishments speak volumes about the hard work and dedication of the faculty and staff at New Brunswick High School. The successes of Sanchez Garcia, Escobar Gomez, and Ramirez-Gomez serve as an inspiration to their classmates, showing how determination and academic focus can open doors to extraordinary opportunities.
As Ramirez-Gomez prepares to embark on his journey at NYU, his story stands as a tribute to the value of persistence and the importance of scholarly achievement. His future in architecture and international relations at NYU looks incredibly bright, and there is little doubt that he will continue to motivate others at New Brunswick High School and beyond through his accomplishments.
Congratulations, Christopher!
